Q) What time do the courses start each day and what time do they finish?

A) The majority of the courses commence at 9.00am except for the 1-day practical training course and conclude at approx. 17.00pm.

 

Q) Do I need any experience of Fish & Chips?

A) The NFFF Training Academy runs a number of different courses set for all levels of experience. So whether you are new to the industry or you have been in the industry for a while , we have a course to suit you.  Please contact us on  0113 2307044 for further details.

 

Q) Do I need to bring anything with me to the course?

A) When attending a training course, we ask that you bring some proof of photo ID such as a current Driving License or passport.

 

Q) Do I get a certificate for completing the course?

A) Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion once the course has concluded.  If you have undertaken the Level 2 Qualifications you will receive a certificate for each qualification taken once the exam papers have been marked and you have received the required pass mark set by the Awarding Body.

 

Q) Does the course include a Food Hygiene certificate?

A) There is the option to take online Level 2 & Level 3 Food Hygiene qualifications that carries a certificate if a required pass mark has been achieved.

Q) How much is the Two Day Zoom & One Day Practical Training Course?

A) Please contact us for the current up to date costs of the Training Courses that we offer.  When attending our training courses, you will receive essential documentation you’ll need to get your business started and we’ll send you away fully prepared with information and samples to try out in your own shop.

 

Q) What does the Zoom Two Day Theory & One Day Practical Training Course include?

A) The Zoom Two Day Theory & One Day Practical Training Course provides you with an overview of the industry and teaches the theory and practical skills required to run a successful fish and chip shop business.

You will also obtain an understanding of the following:

•             Impartial advice on equipment and products from throughout the industry

•             Fully equipped training facilities including traditional and high efficiency ranges

•             A selection of frying mediums and products

•             Learn the HOW’s and WHY’s from leading industry experts 

•             Learn how to maximise your profits from the experts

•             See professional demonstrations on equipment use and maintenance

•             The opportunity to sit online Level 2 & Level 3 Food Safety in Catering, and a variety of other Level 2 qualifications. Information on these courses is available by contacting the training department at training@nfff.co.uk or by phone to 0113 2307044.

 

Q) Is there accommodation included in the Training Course fee?

A) Accommodation isn’t included in the Training Course fee.

 Staying somewhere close by is advisable, Leeds is a busy city and traffic is heavy during the peak hours slowing access from outlying areas and the motorways. 

We have a special discounted rate agreed with the Village Hotel North Leeds. The hotel is approximately a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute car journey from the Training Academy.

Alternatively, should you want to stay in the City Centre we are approximately 3 to 4 miles away from Leeds City Centre where there are numerous hotels to suit all budgets.

NFFF One Day Training Course info & In- shop Training Course Info can be removed for now as we are not sure when/ if they will resume.

Q) How much are the One-Day Training Course?

A) The cost of the course is dependent on the number of students wishing to attend. The costs are as follows,

£350 plus VAT (£420 inc VAT) for 1 student
£525 plus VAT (£630 inc VAT) for 2 students
£700 plus VAT (£840 inc VAT) for 3-5 students
Price on application for 6-10 students (need 2 tutors)
 

 

Q) How long is the One-Day Training course for?

A) The one day training course is of a 6 hour practical content.

 

Q) Is there a discount for more people attending at the same time?

A) Yes, there are discounted rates available dependent on the number of people attending at any one time.

Q) How much is it to have In Shop Training?

A) The costs of the course is from £550 excl VAT for six hours tuition. If you would like our trainer to extend their stay for a longer duration an extra £50 excl VAT is required for each additional hour.

 

Q) How many people can be trained at In Shop training?

A) So, each student receives the maximum from their days training we do restrict the In-shop training to a maximum of 4 students. If you would like more students to be trained please contact the NFFF Head Office on 0113 230 7044.

 

Q) How long is the In shop training course for?

A) Our in-shop training will take place for 6 hours, but this can be extended if you would like more time with you trainer. An additional cost of £50 is required for each additional hour.
