Bespoke training tailored to your requirements. An NFFF approved trainer will conduct six hours of training at your fish and chip business, on a day and time that is convenient to you. (Monday - Thursday)
Adopting this approach means that the trainees can be taught in an environment that they are used to working in, with machinery and equipment that they feel comfortable with.
Another benefit of a fish and chip shop undertaking in shop training is that they can request for the approved trainer to focus on specific areas within their business.
The NFFF In Shop Training can be used as a skills refresher, to learn new skills and techniques, to test and improve internal processes or as a team building exercise.

The syllabus is purely practical and covers:
- Fish, Potato and Batter: Brand, species, types and preparation
- Batter Brands and Types, Equipment & Techniques
- Brands of oils and fats
- Hands on cooking including correct frying temperatures, range management and portion control
- Valuable hints and tips on buying, preparing and cooking your fish
