Nigel Takes on Triathlon and Rebecca Completes 5k Metre Swim

Team Friars Pride have been pushing themselves to the extreme recently, ticking off an Iron Distance triathlon and a 5,000 metre swim in one weekend!

Finance and Operations Director Nigel Swepson beat his personal best on Sunday 26th July during his11th Iron Manat the Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham. Nigel completed a gruelling 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile marathon in just 11 hours, 56 minutes and 46 seconds. But he hasn’t stopped there – Nigel is hoping to beat this yet again at the Copenhagen Ironman on 23rd August 2015.

Managing Director Rebecca Lord also had a successful sporting weekend by competing in her first 5,000 metre swim, achieved in an impressive 1 hour 55 minutes. Rebecca too is already planning her next big swim on 16th August, swimming the length of Rutland Water.
