Award-winning Simpsons Fish and Chips in Cheltenham will serve up heart shaped chips for one day only to mark National Potato Lover’s Day on Friday, February 8.

Created especially to celebrate the humble spud on its national day, the hand cut chips will be carefully shaped into hearts to share with loved ones. Set to make fish and chip fans smile, the heart shaped chips are the work of Development Chef and founder of Simpsons Fish and Chips, Bonny Ritchie.

She said: "Who doesn’t love a spud? They’re the foundation of our business, so we thought we’d show our appreciation with some heart-shaped chips. They’re a tasty way to share the love with friends and family.”

Voted the UK’s best fish and chip shop in 2016, the family-run chippy in Gloucestershire will ‘share the love’ by giving away heart shaped chips along with orders for one day only on Friday 8th February, subject to availability.
