LoSalt chip shop campaign goes from strength to strength with summer tour and Henry Colbeck Ltd listing

Article Date: 2014-08-18

To build on the success of its ‘GoLo’ campaign, leading reduced sodium salt, LoSalt, is taking the campaign on tour this August. LoSalt will visit the popular seaside resorts of Scarborough, Great Yarmouth, Barry, Exmouth and Southsea to raise awareness of the issue of too much sodium in the diet. A branded LoSalt van will spend a day on the seafront of each of the resorts, talking to beachgoers about the importance of reducing salt in the diet and offering tastings of LoSalt. Information about local chip shops taking part will be provided to the public and the chip shops will be promoted to the local media.
The brand is already working with more than 350 fish and chip shops nationally, to offer their customers LoSalt as a healthier reduced sodium option with more signing up each week.  Free GoLo trial kits are still available containing a 3kg drum of LoSalt, branded shakers, posters, badges and wobblers to promote it in the shop.

For those who have already received their ambassador pack; 3kg drums of LoSalt can be re-ordered. For fish and chip shops in the North East of England, North Yorkshire and Scotland, 3kg drums can be ordered from Henry Colbeck Ltd, the oldest independent supplier to the fish and chip market in the UK. For all other areas, drums can be re-ordered directly from LoSalt.

Caroline Klinge, Sales and Marketing Manager at LoSalt said: "It’s been fantastic to see the fish and chip shop industry getting behind this campaign and demonstrating that chip shops care about giving customers healthier options. This promotional tour is about taking the message out there further to highlight the great work that is happening. We’re also delighted that Henry Colbeck Ltd is now listing LoSalt to offer chip shops in those areas an easy way to re-order. If you’re a chip shop that hasn’t taken part in the campaign yet, we’d like to hear from you. It’s completely free to get involved and other fish and chip shops have reported a great response from customers to them offering LoSalt.”

LoSalt delivers all the flavour of regular salt but with 66 per cent less sodium.
