Britz of Wilton Road, Salisbury, have raised £527 to support the work of the Fishermen’s Mission who are running a national appeal supporting Fishermen who are experiencing major difficulties due to the recent storms.

Helen Houghton of Britz said: “”We raised this money in conjunction with chip week and donated 10p from every portion of chips sold that week along with the staff coming to work in fancy dress to encourage the customers to donate, which was great fun.”

Chris Hirst, of the Fishermen’s Mission said: “Britz staff and customers have supported the Fishermen’s Mission for many years and we are grateful for their continued support especially when many of the UK’s fishermen are suffering as a consequence of the Winter’s Storms."
