On Tuesday the 18th we held the second meeting of the year in Northern Ireland hosted by Northern Ireland director John Lavery. This time the meeting was attended by around 30 business owners and suppliers and provided a great opportunity for them to meet up and discuss the key issues affecting the industry today.
Not surprisingly two of the main topics covered were fish supply issues and the up coming budget.
NFFF President Andrew Crook gave an update on the current situation regarding quotas and what the NFFF and wider industry are doing to try to mitigate them. He also talked about the budget and the work we are doing to try to get fairer taxation.
