JJ Foodservice Strengthens Fleet with 20 New Multi-Temperature Delivery Vehicles

On Sunday, 6 September, the annual Isle of Ely Open Day took place. This event gives attendees useful information about what potato prices are likely to be this year and the reasons behind them. The seminars also offer insight into how other shops are integrating technology into their businesses, promoting alternative species, and the benefits of entering the National Fish and Chip Awards.
What struck everyone this year was how professional these small, independent businesses are, often matching and surpassing large national chains. They are using AI to streamline their operations, as well as sourcing and marketing new species of fish.
The quality of the presentations was excellent too, a sure sign that the future of this great industry is in safe hands. It was truly inspirational.
We were also joined by Dawn Butler MP, who has a passion for fish and chips and took time out of her busy schedule to open the day and learn more about the sector.
This event has gone from strength to strength and is an amazing opportunity to meet other operators and share ideas. I am already looking forward to next year.
