Industry Leaders Demand Urgent Intervention to Avert Economic Crisis
March 25, 2025JJ Foodservice has seen a 78% increase in sales to Thai, Korean and Japanese restaurants over the past year, with a 28% rise in business accounts, solidifying its position as a key supplier in the sector.

Chief Sales Officer, Baris Kacar, said: “We identified strong growth opportunities in the Asian restaurant sector and acted decisively. Expanding our World Food Asia range has not only helped existing customers diversify their menus but also attracted a wave of new businesses. This has led to higher basket spend and a significant increase in new accounts.”

As part of its strategy to support growing demand for East and Southeast Asian cuisine, the Group acquired specialist ethnic food wholesaler Gateland Supplies last year and expanded its World Food Asia range with hundreds of new authentic products.

Building on this momentum, JJ has expanded its product range by 17% and remains dedicated to continuously growing its offer to meet the shifting demands of UK restaurants.
Baris added, “The UK hospitality sector has faced significant challenges in recent years, from rising costs to inflationary pressures. However, our commitment to exceptional service, high-quality products, and innovation remains a key driver of growth. We invite brands looking to succeed in the evolving restaurant landscape to partner with us.”
