How soon can I be assessed for the NFFF quality accreditation?

Once you have paid the application fee for the Quality Accreditation and completed the application form process. Your completed application will be checked to ensure we have all the information required to pass over to the assessor. One the application has been passed to the assessor they will be in contact with you directly to arrange a mutually agreed day and time to carry out the assessment via zoom.
How long does the assessment take?

The assessor will review the online application that you have submitted. They will then contact you to arrange an online assessment via Zoom. To discuss your application and discuss anything further that they may require you to provide or show them whilst the online assessment is in progress. This should take approx. 1 hour in total per shop.
When will I find out the result of my assessment?

The assessor will complete the report on your assessment within 7 working days. This will then be audited by a member of the NFFF audit team and within 10 working days you will receive a fully audited written report showing the outcome of your recent assessment. If you have not been successful to pass you will be asked to provide additional evidence to the assessor for them to review your assessment outcome.
Will I be able to use the NFFF quality accreditation logo on marketing items?

Yes, you can use the NFFF Quality Accreditation logo on any marketing material if you pass your inspection, in line with the conditions agreed on the terms and conditions of use. We encourage all Quality Accreditation holders to maximise the logo use and to promote the NFFF Quality Accreditation and the fact that they have successfully achieved these industry standards. If you do leave the accreditation scheme you MUST remove all reference to the Quality Accreditation.
If I have more than 1 shop is there a discount for my other shops to be in the quality award?

Yes, there is a discount for more than one shop providing they are under the same business owner. Please ask us for details
Do I need to be at the shop on the day of the online inspection or can I leave it to my manager?

We recommend that you are present for your available for the online inspection with the assessor , however if you are unable to be there then you can nominate another responsible person. The scheme certification is awarded to the shop owner and the premises, as the owner has overall control.
How long does the NFFF quality accreditation last for?

The accreditation is valid for one year from the date of the qualifying assessment. To remain in the scheme and continue to use the logo after 12 months you would need to send in a fresh application and have a new assessment.
Do I have to send in another application form to reapply or is it renewed automatically?

Shops are notified that renewal is due two months prior to the 12 months lapsing (to enable a fresh assessment to be arranged and carried out, before existing accreditation runs out). Once payment and renewal application is received for each shop in the scheme an online discussion will be carried out. Please Note – Late assessments are backdated to the date the renewal date was due.
What happens if I do not renew the assessment?

If for any reason the Quality Accreditation is not renewed after the year we would need to ask you to remove all reference to the Quality Accreditation. This includes the logo from menus, uniforms, signage etc.
