December 22, 2022The NFFF works very closely with the other takeaway organisations and those who represent out suppliers. My friend Ibrahim Dogus (aka the King of Kebabs) set up the Kebab Alliance a couple of years ago to create a focal point of their industry, just as the NFFF provide for the fish and chip sector.
I was invited to attend the annual gala hosted by Nadhim Zahawi, the chairman of the Conservative Party. Anyone who knows Ibrahim knows that he is very active in the Labour Party but he has great releationships on both sides.
I was joined by Strad Kyriacou for Chris’s Fish and Chips in Barwell who has been very active with Just Eat over the years. We were joined by Jonathan France of the Fish Bank who used to be an EHO so was invited by the organisers.
Talking to operators in the other cuisines you soon realise that they have the same pressures we have to we must work together to help solve them, we have a stronger voice when combined, its something I am very passionate about. We can’t solve everything but if we make enough noise we can make some progress!
