The National Fish & Chip Awards says ‘wool’ done to Bourdon Street Chippy
August 28, 2025On Tuesday the 26th of August I had the opportunity to meet the minister thanks to one of our members Yiannis at barracuda fish and chips in Harrow. This is the second time I’ve met the minister but this gave the chance for a long informal chat about how the industry feels about the government, how government can best help the sector, how the sector can ensure the takeaway sector is represented and get our voices heard.
I was really grateful for the Minister’s time and that he certainly wanted to take some of the points away with him. Without this level of communication we run the risk of government making decisions that benefit the large pub chains and not the independent hospitality sector especially takeaways. The NFFF will continue to work hard for our members and develop the political engagement.
A more detailed report will be distributed to NFFF members next week.
