A new hospitality graduate apprenticeship programme will launch in September, aiming to create a clear pathway for the next generation of industry leaders.
The five-year, work-based initiative – developed by UKHospitality and HIT Training – offers an alternative to the traditional graduate route, combining hands-on experience with formal qualifications. Apprentices can enter at Level 3, Level 5, or Level 7, depending on their experience, with all training fully fundable through the apprenticeship levy or 95% government co-investment.
UKHospitality chair Kate Nicholls said the scheme was about changing industry culture: “We are unashamedly seeking bright, focused, ambitious 18-year-olds to join our diverse and vibrant workforce. Via this programme, they will be able to quickly progress and find their place in leadership roles, unlocking significant earnings, responsibility and opportunities across the globe.”
The programme is designed to attract talented young people into hospitality, fast-tracking them into management and senior roles in a sector that continues to offer global career prospects.
