Article Date: 2013-07-02

The Wetherby Whaler in Wakefield has invested £65,000 in a state of the art frying range to cope with the increased demand for its fish and chips.

The frying range is approximately 7.5 metres long and has been made by leading Dutch manufacturer Kiremko. It was moved into the restaurant through a window which was removed to facilitate the manoeuvre.

Kiremko is recognised as the leading brand of fish & chip ranges throughout Europe in both volume and technology.

Phillip Murphy, owner of The Wetherby Whaler said: “We are proud of the reputation The Wetherby Whaler has for the quality of its fish and chips and this major investment into the Wakefield restaurant and take-away will enable us to maintain and build on this.

"Year on year we are serving more customers in Wakefield and this makes it important that we install the very best equipment.”
