Utley Fisheries in local media frenzy

Article Date: 2013-12-02

Last year, Ross Tanner at Utley Fisheries, near Keighley in West Yorkshire, sold battered mince pies to raise money for the Manorlands Hospice in Keighley, a charity that provides care and assistance to people and their families with serious illnesses. This was great success and the positive feedback soon flowed thereafter.

This year, Utley Fisheries want to donate even more money to Manorlands. Ross’ son and his band, Ambulance and Emergency, have written a song and produced a music video to honour their battered mince pies. Entitled “Utterly Utley Christmas”, you can find this fun music video by clicking on the link below:

Everyone likes a unique fundraising event, so tomorrow Ross will be interviewd at 08.40 on BBC Radio Leeds. Following this, "Paul the Weatherman" from BBC Look North is invited to attend the fish and chip shop. Paul was born in Keighley and so this event is close to his heart.

For more information or to donate to the Manorlands Hospice, please call Ross on 01535 601077. It’s a cause worthy of supporting so all donations and support greatly appreciated.
