"Seafood and the Consumer" event - Aberdeen on 4th June

Seafish are organising an industry event, "Seafood and the Consumer", to be held in Aberdeen on 4 June. The event is aimed at providing an insight to the seafood industry as to what is happening in the world of the seafood consumer, what the current shape of the seafood market in the retail and foodservice sectors is, what activities Seafish are working on in relation to the consumer, etc. The event will cover topics including including:

Latest market data Eating and consumer trends Sustainability Healthy eating, and more 

Attendees will include representatives from across the seafood sector (processors, retailers, foodservice operators, chefs, mongers, friers and other interested parties, etc.).

The event will be held in Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium on Tuesday 4 June 2013 (the day will start at 10.30am with coffee/registration and runs through until 3.00pm).

In addition to delegates having the opportunity to learn of latest industry trends, etc., the event will also be a good business networking opportunity for attendees. Seafish will have a number of external industry experts presenting on various topics, including: The NPD Group (Trends in foodservice – NPD Crest data), A.C. Nielsen (Current retail data and insights), Scotland Food and Drink, Reynier Research, etc.).

It would be extremely beneficial if some Scottish fish and chip shop owners are in attendance.
