Seafarers UK have very recently launched this year’s feast, which is a fundraising campaign held over the week of  7 – 13 October. Please see link for flyer:

They are asking fish & chip shops to take part any time over the week and the shop that raises the most funds during the week will win the Seafarers UK ‘Fish & Chip Feast – Top Fundraising Shop of the Year Award’ supported by Seafish.

Every penny raised will go towards the funding of safety and education projects for fishermen, ultimately saving lives.

Seafarers UK is a grant-making charity which provides grants to specialist maritime charities and organisations, often small local ones, that are working to help serving and ex-serving seafarers and their families who are experiencing hardship. Their key aim is to provide sustainable funding and improve the quality of life for those in greatest need.
