The Wetherby Whaler in Guiseley is supporting Leeds Rhinos and Super League star, Tom Briscoe, for the 2014 season. 

Phillip and Janine Murphy, owners of The Wetherby Whaler, a group of fish and chip restaurants and takeaways across Yorkshire, are sponsoring the 23 year old England international who joined Leeds Rhinos this season from Hull FC.

As part of the partnership, every time Tom scores a try, The Wetherby Whaler will flash up on the big screen at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium. Tom will also visit selected restaurants to meet diners and joined VIPs at the official opening of the revamped Wetherby restaurant on 6 March. 

The Wetherby Whaler is a leading player in the popular fish and chip restaurant and take-away market in Yorkshire. In addition to Guiseley, it has restaurants and takeaways in Wetherby, York, Pudsey and Wakefield.
