Over 225 shops enjoyed un-pea-lievable Batchelors Mushy Pea Promotion!

Friars Pride saw over 225 Fish and Chip shops grab a ‘peas’ of the action during the Batchelors Mushy Peas 40th Birthday celebration!
Launching in August and rolling out through September, October and November, Friars Pride offered 225 lucky Fish and Chip shops the opportunity to take part in the exclusive Batchelors Mushy Pea campaign. Lucky participants had to register for Friars Pride’s Marketing Club, with packs available on a first come first served basis. Each participating shop was provided with a free promotional pack worth £100, containing800 instant win scratch cards for their customers with prizes of pens, key rings, free 4oz portions of mushy peas and Chessington World of Adventures tickets! Free point of sale posters, till wobblers and digital menu board videos were included to help advertise the campaign to their customers.
Customers couldn’t wait to show their promotional kits in action in their shops and restaurants via Twitter, tweeting updates using the hashtag #peasydoesit and letting us know how they got on:
Mother Hubbards – "The campaign encouraged my customers to buy mushy peas, they really liked the prizes and I liked being able to give them a little something back. We really enjoyed it!”
Coxedge Fish Bar - "A lot of fun and the customers enjoyed it. Everyone loves a scratch card.”
The Boundary – "Fantastic campaign which got more young people eating peas and our staff selling more portions. Great all round, can we have more scratch cards please!”
Wigmore Fish Bar – "Customers will in future look to buy more peas, its brilliant!”
The campaign proved to be the pea-fect opportunity to encourage customers to eat more mushy peas and celebrate their ‘1 of their 5 day’ goodness, all with the fun of prizes to be won.
