NFFF Training in Northern Ireland

The National Federation of Fish Friers are delighted to announce an additional ‘Three-Day Training Course: NFFF Complete Guide to Fish and Chip Shop Management’ will be taking place on the 21st, 22nd, & 23rd August at the NFFF Training Hub in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.

Developed in conjunction with Seafish, this comprehensive course provides an overview of the industry and is ideal for new entrants to the fish and chip industry combining theory with practical skills over three days. The course is identical to the one which is delivered at the NFFF Training Academy in Leeds.

Over the three days students will cover,

  • Product sourcing
  • Fish, potato and batter: selection and preparation
  • Types of oils and fats
  • Hands on cooking including correct frying temperatures, range management and portion control
  • Oil management
  • Food hygiene
  • Health and Safety requirements
  • Managing accounts
  • Dealing with VAT
  • Customer service
