New Sunflower Oil Fryer at Bizzie Lizzies

Article Date: 2019-01-17

Skipton’s Bizzie Lizzie’s Restaurants are famous for their award-winning fish and chips, cooked in beef dripping for extra flavour. Now, thanks to one new standalone fryer sunflower oil fryer (with four separate baskets) at their Swadford Street restaurant, everyone including vegetarian and vegans can enjoy dining at what has been voted one of the top 10 fish and chip restaurants in the UK.

The new standalone fryers will use 100% high oleic sunflower oil, guaranteed to be GM free. This is one of the healthiest frying oils available because it is rich in antioxidants and very resistant to breakdown at high temperatures.

Two Sunflower oil baskets will be dedicated to chips and the others to gluten free fish, which means that vegans and vegetarians can enjoy a portion of delicious golden chips together with a variety of other vegetarian dishes.

Bizzie Lizzie’s Marketing Director explained the reason for the new frying range "To make sure that customers keep coming back for more, we always listen to their feedback. Over the last few years there has been a growing number of requests for us to supply a vegetarian & vegan alternative to beef dripping. To install a new sunflower oil standalone fryer required a complete redesign of the kitchen. So, I am delighted that we have been able to make this investment at Swadford Street to enable vegetarians and vegans to feel welcome.”

Bizzie Lizzie’s Swadford Street Restaurant will close for 10 days on Sunday 6th January for the work to be completed and will reopen on Wednesday 16th January. At the same time the restaurant will be refurbished to give it a fresh look so that customers can enjoy their fish and chips cooked either in sunflower oil or beef dripping in comfort.
