Krispies shows support to the Royal Academy for Deaf Education

Article Date: 2019-03-18

The UK’s best fish and chip shop gave back to their local community this weekend by hosting a special charity event on Saturday 16th March.

Krispies of Exmouth were selling their award-winning fish and chips for just £3.50 with all proceeds going to the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education.

The Exeter Royal Academy will be moving to the Exmouth area in 2020 and Krispies are supporting the charity as part of an ongoing commitment to give back to their local community.

Owners of Krispies, Kelly and Tim Barnes said “We were thrilled to be able to celebrate our win with our customers and raise money for such a worthwhile cause.

Our staff worked for free on the day so special thanks go to them.  This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our suppliers who once again were very forthcoming with their support.

We raised £4178.97 and look forward to visiting the Deaf Academy to see the students and present them with the cheque.”

Products for the charity event were kindly donated by members of the fish and chip industry, including; Gadus Trawler, Williams Potatoes, J Gilbert and Son, Ceres PFI, TQuality, Smales, Kerry Foodservice and Friars Pride.
