John Dory^s chain of chip shops recently received their Investors in People Award at Belfast Castle.

The company, which has 7 sites in the greater Belfast/Lisburn area employs over 100 staff. Established in 1984 it is very much a local success story.

Director Mark Polley comments "We are delighted with the award, it represents a lot of hard work. We are very fortunate to have an excellent management team and the credit must go to them and their hard working staff that make John Dory^s what it is"

The award measures several aspect of the business, but is centred around engaging with the employees from the planning stage to sustainable delivery.

Presenting the award on behalf of Investors in People Minister Stephen Farry, Employment and Learning, Mark Polly, Linda Polley, Directors of John Dorys and Mark Huddlestone, Northern Ireland Commissioner to the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.
