Friars Pride Celebrates 40 Years of Putting The Pride Into Food Service!
Article Date: 2015-03-23
The business can trace its heritage back to 1898, where the company was a tallow business in the Peterborough area. The Briggs family purchased this business in 1960 and 15 years later, the family incorporated Friars Pride Ltd, the company you know today.
The family business marked the occasion at FRY I.T. 2015, which took place at the BIC in Bournemouth on 1st March 2015. The celebrations continued with the unveiling of a new 168 pallet purpose built freezer at the Norwich Depot, ensuring efficient delivery of frozen goods. This investment, along with an expanding fleet and workforce, satellite depot telephone and IT systems, is testimony to the company’s ongoing commitment to growth and quality service within the Fish and Chip and Fast Food industry.
Rebecca Lord, Managing Director Friars Pride Ltd notes:"It’s a fantastic time at Friars Pride and a very exciting anniversary year! It is great to see that amongst our customers are families just like our own, who have remained committed to the Fish & Chip industry through the generations! Fish and Chips remains a fantastic family trade. Celebrating 40 years of Friars Pride is both exciting and an honour. We remain committed to the trade that we feel so passionately about!”
