DRYWITE YOUNG FISH FRIER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION SPARKS MEDIA INTEREST
In a year dominated by the NFFF Centenary and media interest in the frying trade, the NFFF is pleased to announce that we are expecting BBC Radio Leeds and the Yorkshire Evening Post to cover the first semi-final round of The Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year competition on Monday 9th September.
There are five young friers hoping to impress the judges on Monday, with another five competing on Tuesday. The young hopefuls will be judged on: preparation, frying skills, presentation and a question and answer session.
Special thanks go to two of our judges - Craig Buckley and Zohaib Hussain - who are preparing potatoes on Sunday evening and firing up the ranges early on Monday morning prior to Radio Leeds^ interview. Such dedication to the fish and chip cause should be applauded.
We wish all ten young friers the very best of luck.
