Daddy Cool visits Wetherby Whaler

Wetherby Whaler customers in Wakefield enjoyed their fish and chips with a special guest when they were visited by Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ mascot, Daddy Cool - see below!

The popular fish and chip restaurant in Wakefield welcomed the much-loved mascot who it is now sponsoring, to unveil his new Wetherby Whaler shirt. 

The Wetherby Whaler is a leading player in the popular fish and chip restaurant and take-away market in Yorkshire. In addition to Wakefield, it has restaurants and takeaways in York, Pudsey, Wetherby and Guiseley.

Janine Murphy, Co-Owner of The Wetherby Whaler, said: “At The Wetherby Whaler we believe that it is very important for us to support local initiatives and to put something back into the local community. 

“We’re avid rugby fans and many of our Wakefield members of staff and customers support Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, so we’re thrilled to be supporting the club. 

“It was fantastic to have Daddy Cool at the restaurant and we think that he looks great in his new Wetherby Whaler shirt- we’re looking forward to seeing him wearing his new top on match days!”
