Countdown to Choice Chip Awards

Article Date: 2014-02-04

COUNTDOWN TO THE CHOICE CHIP AWARDS

With just a matter of days until entries to the hotly contested Choice Chip Awards close, chip shops across the country are running out of time to encourage customers to cast their vote.

The high profile Awards celebrate the best chips being served in the country, but it’s all down to the loyalty and support of customers who need to vote for their favourite chippie for it to be in with a chance winning the ‘Champion’ title.

Stu Baker, Chip Week campaign manager for Potato Council, said: “Now is the time to rally the community and encourage as many customers to vote for you as possible; one final push could be all it takes to win the title of ‘Choice Chip Award Champion’ for 2014!

Social media is a great tool to help remind customers that there’s only a matter of days left before voting closes – why not schedule a couple of reminders on Facebook or Twitter and include a link to the online voting page www.chips.lovepotatoes.co.uk/vote?

“Alternatively, display your in-store voting cards clearly on the counter; from passing trade to loyal customers, make sure you encourage everyone to vote!”

The competition acts as a superb platform to build the profile of your shop. Winning the highly prestigious Award can be used to generate media and consumer interest in your business and create a real buzz throughout February.

Online voting officially closes on Thursday 6th February 2014 and any postal entry cards must be sent in by participating chip shops by Saturday 8th February 2014. Postal entry cards should be sent to: Chip Week Voting Cards, Greenbank, Saxby Road, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 1FF.
