A Great Catch for The Elite Fish and Chip Company!

Article Date: 2014-12-08

A former Young Fish Frier of the Year has been appointed as the new Operations Manager at The Elite Fish and Chip Company.

Nigel Tindall (41) has joined the family-run business to help grow the company. His role will include working with the team across all outlets in Lincoln, Sleaford and Ruskington, ensuring high levels of customer service, customer satisfaction and quality of food continue to be delivered throughout the business.

"My in-depth knowledge of the industry puts me in a great position to support Elite’s business plans and I’m delighted to join the company as the Operations Manager,” said Nigel.

"Initially I trained as a chef and worked in a Lincolnshire pub before I became hooked on the industry after a three-day training course with the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF).

"I became the manager of a Lincolnshire chippy and won the Young Fish Frier of the Year Award in 1998. I’ve since worked in various roles in the fish and chip industry as a Quality Assessor for the NFFF Fish & Chip Quality Award Scheme and Chair of Lincoln National Federation of Fish Friers.

"I’m especially looking forward to working with all the teams across the business to help drive it to its full potential.”

Adrian Tweedale, Owner of The Elite Fish and Chip Company, said: "Bringing Nigel to the team opens exciting doors of opportunity for the future of the business.

"Nigel shares a similar passion for the industry as me and he also brings a wealth of experience to the company,” said Adrian. "This gives me confidence that he will be able to drive The Elite Fish and Chip Company forward to a strong and successful future.

"Nigel’s recruitment has come at a very exciting time for the company, as our Sleaford manager, Rachel Tweedale has also been announced as a finalist for this year’s Young Fish Frier award.”

Nigel added: "I have a real passion for the fish and chip industry; it’s exciting to see how much it has evolved over the years and the great direction it is going in the future.”
