Write to your MP

To try to help give politicians greater understanding of the fish and chip industry and the realities of runnning a small business we could do with your help. It often feels like Government do not care about small businesses but we think they just don’t understand the industry and the key issues such as supply issues, how the VAT system impacts us and the frustrations around having a level playing field and also how regulatary burden affects a small business.

We are asking the industry to write to their local MP and invite them to come and spend time in their business. We all know the challenges well but we have put a few key points that you could put in or you can just extend the invite and cover some if they accept. It could be a great opportunity to give them greater understanding which could be part of their thinking when making key decisions in the future that could affect the industry. It could also help the NFFF when we talk to Government.
