The trip this year will spotlight the breathtaking North and East of Iceland.
The group includes Graeme Burrell from the winning shop Yarm Road Fish and Chips in Darlington, Ross Irvin from The Fish Works in Largs and Lauren from Kellaway’s Fish and Chips in Truro.
The group who are also joined by Julie Waites from FASFA and Josette Foster from the Award’s team will start their trip with a domestic flight to Akureyri, followed by a visit to Samherji’s Whitefish Plant in Dalvík, before heading east to spend Fishermen’s Day in Neskaupstaõur, nestled in the stunning Eastfjords. The trip itinerary certainly promises to offer a great mix of cultural involvement and an array of seafood activities
Lauren Kellaway is excited to take part following her success at the awards this year,
“I’m looking forward to taking part in the Fishermen’s Day celebrations, which include competitions, boat rides, and community activities. I’m also really excited about enjoying plenty of freshly caught Icelandic seafood.”
The trip will conclude with a relaxing soak in the Vök Geothermal Baths, providing a peaceful final activity before the group returns to Reykjavik and departs Iceland.
