Heritage

Goldensheaf, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of batter mixes, celebrated its 80th anniversary last year. First produced in 1945, the brand boasts a flour heritage that dates back to 1857. Henry Jones is equally rooted in tradition. Widely recognised as the original batter mix, its recipe was developed more than 75 years ago and has remained a closely guarded secret ever since. In Birmingham, Anastasios “Stan” Economou of The Harborne Fish Bar has relied on Goldensheaf Standard since 1980.
