The latest childhood obesity news is that, like Salford two months ago, Bolton could ban takeaways from opening near schools.
The 400-metre ruling is identical to the one Salford proposed. And in another inaccurate report, the image used was not of a kebab, pizza, Chinese takeaway or burger but…of fish and chips.
Apparently, one in five children in Bolton are classed as obese. Unsurprisingly, the report contained minimal reference to a lack of exercise and health education.
