The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) is the official body that represents the fish and chip industry, protects the interests of fish friers and their businesses, and promotes the fish and chip brand.
Our organisation is run by fish friers, for fish friers - and to our members, we're the 5th emergency service!
Established in 1913 by individual fish and chip shop owners who united and, working together as a team, they ensured their voices were heard, by suppliers, by government and by the regulators.
Today, the NFFF continues to be the voice of the fish frier, dealing with government departments and collaborating with other organisations to help shape the legislation that directly affects fish and chip businesses, and as a communication hub, liaising with local, national and international media organisations, addressing and deflecting adverse issues and promoting the positive – protecting the fish and chip brand.
